Brexitastic!

This week, Nicola Sturgeon requested a second Scottish referendum. This is because in the recent EU referendum, Scotland voted to remain but the majority voted to leave. Nicola Sturgeon thinks that leaving the UK will enable Scotland to get back into the EU. We asked Glyn school MFL teacher, Miss O'reilly, her opinions on the whole brexit situation and the effects it may have on the curriculum.

Theresa May recently said that a Scottish referendum would not happen until after brexit but Miss O'Reilly explained when a Scottish referendum does eventually happen, if Scotland vote leave then they will get access to Europe again.

One of the many concerns about brexit are what will happen to the language curriculum. “There shouldn’t be a major change in the actual course but students may be discouraged from taking languages based on the decision”.
